Bursting with flavor and crafted with care, this new addition to our lineup proves that decaf doesn't mean dull.
The sugarcane decaffeination method, also known as the ethyl acetate (EA) method, is a natural process that preserves the coffee beans' flavor. Here are the steps:
Preparation: Green coffee beans are steamed to open their pores.
Extraction: The beans are soaked in a solution of ethyl acetate (EA), a natural compound derived from sugarcane, which binds to the caffeine and extracts it.
Rinsing: The beans are rinsed with water to remove any EA residue.
Drying and sealing: The beans are dried and sealed with a neutral wax to maintain their freshness.
This gentle process retains the natural structure and characteristics of the coffee beans, ensuring a rich flavor without the caffeine.
