Welcome to expe, a specialty coffee roastery nestled in the heart of Lausanne, Switzerland. Established with a profound passion for coffee, our journey began in 2020 with a focus on providing a great coffee experience to enthusiasts in Lausanne and beyond. We source our beans exclusively from producers with responsible, eco-friendly coffee farms.

We’re proud of our commitment to fostering direct communication with coffee growers whenever possible, forging bonds that result in a harmonious blend of taste and values. Our commitment to cleanliness and ethical practices ensures that every roast tells a story of sustainability and quality.

We prioritise delivering sustainable and high-quality coffee to our customers, that’s why we invested in a state-of-the-art, latest-generation 100% electric coffee roaster, using up to 50% less energy than a conventional gas roaster.

If we are not traveling looking for new coffees, we’ll be in here, roasting once a week.

At expe, we take our coffee seriously, but not ourselves. Roasting and tasting are where the magic happens. It’s not rocket science, but it's close – making sure every sip of expe coffee hits the right notes.
